Shanghai, China - October 15, 2023 - JIANGSÈ is excited to offer an exclusive preview of its Spring/Summer 2024 collection, which will debut at Shanghai Fashion Week next month.
Titled "Lunar Phases," the collection explores the subtle variations of white in traditional Chinese color theory, from moonlight white (月白) to cloud white (云白) to rice white (米白).
"White is often seen as the absence of color, but in Chinese philosophy, it contains all colors," explains the creative director. "This collection is our meditation on purity, simplicity, and the infinite possibilities within apparent limitation."
Key highlights include:
- Flowing silk dresses in gradient shades of white
- Structured linen suits with subtle iridescent finishes
- Delicate embroidery inspired by moonlight on water
- Accessories featuring mother-of-pearl and white jade
The collection marks a departure from JIANGSÈ's typically bold color palette, yet remains true to the brand's philosophy of drawing inspiration from traditional Chinese aesthetics.
"We wanted to challenge ourselves and our customers to see beauty in subtlety," says the designer. "Sometimes the most powerful statement is the quietest one."
The Spring/Summer 2024 collection will be available for purchase starting March 2024, with pre-orders opening in January.
